“No one realizes how beautiful it is to travel until he comes home and rests his head on his old, familiar pillow.”

5 Unexplored Regions of Andaman

Forming an archipelago in the Bay of Bengal is situated the breathtakingly beautiful the Andaman Islands. The Andaman Island is known to be the home of the Sentinelese people. This tribe has no contact with any other mankind. It is a restricted area for the trespassers and people here are nomads still living on raw meat and naked body.

In Andaman, most of the population believes in the religion which can be best described as Monotheistic Animism. These tribes residing in the Island believe in only one deity Paluga. They believe whatever is happening on the Earth is as per the wish of the Lord Paluga.

Andaman Island is one of the best tour packages that one can avail. This place is welcomed especially for the Newlywed couple who go for the Andaman honeymoon package. Apart from the mesmerizing and enchanting beauty of the place, there are a lot of places that are still unexplored by many. These are:

Regular bus services are available from Port Blair to reach this Island. You can ask your local tour operators to help explore this place better. It is 100 km away from Port Blair. The places to explore in Baratang Island are the Limestone Caves, Parrot Island, and the Mud Volcanoes.

Limestone caves

One of the most mysterious places of the Andaman is the Havelock Island. The natural wonder of the bioluminescence by the sea is an angelic place and the best tourist spot. The illuminating water by the shore at night leaves any visitor spellbound.

The Ross and Smith Island-
Not many people are aware of the fact that The Ross and Smith Island is two single Islands, sometimes. These Islands are connected by the natural sandbar. This sandbar gets hidden when its high tide is making two separate islands. In low tides, the sandbar is clearly seen and the two Islands can be distinguished easily.

Mount Harriet
Hardly anyone is aware of the fact that the scenery show at the back of the twenty rupee note is a snapshot from the Mount Harriet. It is the third highest peak of the Andaman Islands. The exquisite scenery is one of the most unexplored regions.

Rangat
