Katyayani Shakti Peeth is located in Vrindavan. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Katyayani. She is a form of Goddess Durga. Katyayani Shakti Peeth is one of the 51 Shakti Peeths of Devi. Shakti Peeth is also called Sati Peeth. When Goddess Sati immolated herself in the fire, Lord Shiva, consort of Maa Sati, felt into a deep grive and carried Mata Sati’s body on his shoulder. Shakti peeths are the locations where Maa Sati’s body parts fell on the ground. Each Shakti peeth shows a unique form of the goddess.
Role in Krishna Leela
This temple is also linked with the Lord Krishna and Gopis. It is believed that gopis prayed to Maa Katyayani to grant them boon to get Lord Krishna as their husband. Devotees pray here for marriage, prosperity, and inner strength.

Temple entry is 7 AM to 11 AM and 5:30 PM to 8 PM. There is no entry fee to visit this temple.
